This course provides a basic introduction to child protection concerns which you may face, or need to be aware of in your role.

Complaints Handling Awareness

This course will enable you to work with Turning Point Scotland's Complaints Policy.



Crisis Prevention Institute - Safety Intervention (Refresher)

This course is for staff whose service has been risk assessed as requiring Verbal Interventions, and who have attended a face to face Verbal Intervention course in the last 2 years'.

This course will help you to develop an understanding of 'Personal Outcomes'.    Supporting people to achieve personal Outcomes is as important as being person centred.  Everyone working in social care needs to understand and work with Outcomes in practice.

People Moving People - Theory (Refresher)

This is a refresher course - you must have previously attended or completed an online full People Moving People Theory course.

This course is about exploring what should be included in any report when you are working with service user and staff records.

This course is for staff who are required to carry out risk assessments for work activities and working environments.

Safer Handling & Back Care

This course aims to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries that can be caused by poor manual handling in the workplace. The course will make clear the knowledge and skills that are required to enable you to carry out your job in a safe and effective manner, whilst complying with current legislation.

This course developed by Shelter Scotland will improve your understanding of the law around homelessness.  Different topics will be explored providing knowledge to help you when addressing the challenges faced by people you work with.
